Meet Our Principal Doctor
Veronica Nagel, DVM
Dr. Veronica Nagel graduated from North Dakota State University with a bachelor’s degree in Zoology and Anthropology. She became care giver at a primate rescue center in Florida, when she slowly realized her passion for medicine and caring for animals. She continued her education at University of Minnesota, where she received a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. She has a special interest in preventive medicine and physical therapy. Her favorite part of being a veterinarian is forming relationships with owners and supporting the human-animal bond. Outside of work, Dr. Nagel enjoys exploring the great outdoors, trying new restaurants, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family – including her Weimaraner, Stout, and tortoiseshell cat, Italix.

Phil Schaber
CVT
Phil has been a certified technician for 23 years. His experience managing multiple veterinary hospitals over the years has helped him put together the awesome team at WellHaven Pet Health Woodbury. He enjoys spending time with his family and getting outside to enjoy nature.

Sheri
Lead Veterinary Technician
Sheri has been a Veterinary Technician for 23 years. She has a wide range of experience ranging from day practice to specialty medicine to working in emergency medicine for 15 years. She has a special interest in animal behavior, emergency medicine, and keeping up on the latest medical techniques and innovations. Sheri believes in treating every animal as if it were her own to ensure the best quality care and medicine are provided. Outside of work, Sheri enjoys geocaching, watching movies, and spending time with family and friends.

Isabelle
Veterinary Assistant
Isabelle is a Class of 2024 DVM candidate at the University of Minnesota with hopes of being a small animal general practitioner. She has a strong interest in preventive medicine and how daily lifestyle, particularly exercise and nutrition habits, can impact the quality of life. In her free time, she enjoys being outside, spending time with her friends and family, and curling up on the couch to watch Netflix with her boyfriend and their pets, Mickey (silver labrador retriever) and Minnie (calico cat).

Katy
Veterinary Assistant
Katy graduated from the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Her experience working at a humane society, a pet store, and a dog daycare/boarding facility inspired her to pursue a career in the veterinary field. She has a special interest in preventive medicine and working with rescue pets. She has aspirations to become a certified veterinary technician and to one day open her own animal sanctuary.
Outside of work, she keeps busy with her pet sitting business and coaching youth basketball. She also enjoys going to concerts and spending time with friends and family including her two dogs, two cats, rabbit, and guinea pig.

Courtlandt
Veterinary Assistant
Courtlandt recently graduated from the University of St. Thomas with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He hopes to get his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and eventually work as a wildlife veterinarian. Outside of work he enjoys playing Dungeons and Dragons, watching sci-fi television shows, and spending time with his girlfriend and three cats.

Madison
Pet Camp Counselor
Madison graduated from the University of Wisconsin – River Falls in 2019 with a degree in Animal Science and an emphasis in Companion Animals. She has a special interest in animal behavior and training. In her free time, she enjoys being on the lake, watching television, and spending time with family and friends.
